(Optional) Enabling Call Forwarding During a Survivability Event
As previously stated, call forwarding for survivability must be disabled during routine business operations to preserve Zoom Phone cloud routing. However, in the occurrence of a survivability event, call forwarding must be enabled from the web portal using a working internet connection. Once enabled, calls made to Zoom Phone-registered numbers will be re-routed across the PSTN to the on-premises SBC. To enable call forwarding, perform the following steps:
Sign into the Zoom web portal.
Under the Phone System Management sub-menu, select Company Info.
Select the site name from the list (or click Account Settings if a single-site configuration).
Select the site’s Settings tab.
On the following screen, locate the Zoom Node subsection, and the setting for Call Forwarding Local Survivability. Click Manage to load a new page.
On the following page, select the individual numbers, or check the top-most box to select all numbers displayed on the page, and click Enable Forwarding.
A pop-up will appear confirming call forwarding enablement. Click Enable to confirm.
Call forwarding is now enabled for selected users. Repeat the process as necessary for as many users or pages as are applicable.
When the survivability event is over, repeat this process until step 6. Instead, click Disable Forwarding and confirm when prompted to remove call forwarding for the selected numbers.
