# SMS and 10DLC

Zoom Contact Center supports Short Message Service (SMS) (i.e., text messages) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) (i.e., photo messages) through the Messaging contact channel. However, to use or be eligible for SMS, the business must meet [10 Digit Long Code (10DLC) compliance requirements](https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb\&sysparm_article=KB0059336). For more information on this process, refer to the [10DLC FAQ](https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb\&sysparm_article=KB0059576).

Once an account is enabled for SMS, account admins are encouraged to refer to Zoom’s support center for more information on [configuring SMS for your account](https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb\&sysparm_article=KB0074648), such as how to set the default outbound SMS number for your account, how to enable or disable outbound SMS for a Queue, and the default outbound SMS Queue for a contact center user.

**Note**\
The 10DLC Campaign is only required for businesses utilizing United States and Canada-based phone numbers.
